You can’t play Elder Scrolls Online effectively if your ping is more than 150ms

Yes, you’ll also not be able to PVE effectively – but the consequences will be less severe

In PVP (Player-vs-Player), you’ll often die before you realise what has hit you or you can take action. Your death recap will show you 4 – 5 different abilities when you only saw one action on your screen depending on how bad your ping is.

In PVE (Player-vs-AI), mechanics such as growing red circles appear in your screen when they are already 50% complete (depending on ping) in the server giving your character less time to react. You’ll often “die outside the red circle” Continue reading “You can’t play Elder Scrolls Online effectively if your ping is more than 150ms”

You can queue for a Cyrodiil campaign even when you’re offline – but there’s a catch

Good tip to use during those peak times.

Update Aug 2022: This does not work any longer

Did you know?

You can queue for a Alliance campaign and the server will continue queuing you even if you go offline

However, you need to be present when your turn comes to enter the campaign. By present, you must be logged on to the character that is queuing for the campaign

If you were not present when your turn comes, your queue will be removed.

You’ll need to make a best estimation of the time needed for queueing. Usually a queue position of 200+ will take about 2 hours to clear.

Good tip to use during those peak times.
